San Mateo
Trestles stays healthy because San Mateo Creek runs clean
Our ocean is as clean - as what feeds it.
San Mateo Creek is clean - so Trestles is clean.
Both are "The Last Clean One's" in our 600-miles of SoCal coastline.
The Last Clean Ones - ever.
A toll road built thru San Mateo Creek would end that forever.
There would be no more clean creeks, rivers or streams, or clean surf spots along our 600 miles of SoCal's once all-perfect shore.
None.
Does that matter?
Not to the toll road pavers - and not to the majority of Orange County elected officials - who simply don't care about your health, or the heath of OC's environment. One in the same.
Promises of toll road Run-Off filtration systems are 100% false.
They don't exist - anywhere.
Highways are responsible for 80% of our-coast's untreated pollutants.
At Trestles, the TCA (toll roads) say, by turning the perfectly natural Trestles Estuary (San Mateo river mouth) into a holding-basin for polluted toll road run-off, would keep Trestles clean - Dead Wrong.
Truth is - at first rain - everything held-back - would flush into Trestles.
San Mateo Creek works perfect now - in it's pristine 16-mile flow from the Cleveland National Forest down to Trestles, any bad-stuff is cleansed-out naturally - as God intended.
San Mateo Creek is The Gold Standard by which all SoCal coastal waterways are measured for purity.
San Mateo Creek is the best there is, keeping Trestles - the best there is.
Our Governor, our State Attorney General, our State Parks and our Coastal Commission say "Find an Alternative" - for God's Sake, don't destroy SoCal's last perfect beach!
Don't sacrifice our perfect wet and wild Yosemite of Surfing for a toll road few would use? Stupid is as Stupid does. Let's be smart - this time.
We Save Trestles by Saving San Mateo Creek.
